Therefore you have to create a user account to use HoneyPi appropriately. In addition, the Android app gets the measurement data from ThingSpeak to display it for you.<\/p>\n<p>This article explains how to create your ThingSpeak account and configure everything correctly:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Create ThingSpeak account:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/thingspeak.com\/users\/sign_up\">Here<\/a> you can register for free at ThingSpeak.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create a new channel:<\/strong> Create a new channel under &#8220;My Channels&#8221; using the &#8220;New Channel&#8221; button. Each channel represents a beehive.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-259\" title=\"Neuen Channel anlegen\" src=\"https:\/\/www.honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.png\" alt=\"Neuen Channel anlegen\" width=\"602\" height=\"144\" srcset=\"https:\/\/honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.png 945w, https:\/\/honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-300x72.png 300w, https:\/\/honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-768x184.png 768w, https:\/\/honey-pi.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-660x158.png 660w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/a>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Fill in mandatory fields:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Name:<\/strong> Enter a name for the beehive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fields:<\/strong> A field represents a type of measured value (e.g. temperature, humidity, etc.). If a new field is to be created, check the box to the right and enter a name. Up to eight fields can be created per channel.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong><strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">IMPORTANT: For the app to be able to assign the type of measurement to the correct detail page, the character string &#8220;temperatur&#8221;, &#8220;luftfeuchtigkeit&#8221;, &#8220;luftdruck&#8221;, &#8220;luftqualit\u00e4t&#8221; or &#8220;gewicht&#8221; must be present in the name. The same type of measured value can also be used several times, e.g. incubator temperature and outdoor temperature. In maintenance mode the Write-API-Key is required. The HoneyPi writes the measurement data into the ThingSpeak Channel. Hence the &#8220;WRITE&#8221; key. You can find the Write-API-Key at your ThingSpeak Channel under the tab &#8220;API Keys&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#HoneyPi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the tab &#8220;Channel Settings&#8221; several tags can be defined for each created channel (apiary) separated with comma. For example: HoneyPi, stick scale, bees, beekeeper, raspberry. This serves the searchability, one wants to release his link to the measurement data publicly. Under the hash tag &#8220;HoneyPi&#8221; connected HoneyPi bee scales can be found.
