ThingSpeak is open source and specializes in storing all measurement data from the Internet of Things. The nice thing about it is that the whole thing is completely free of charge and can be done without special technical know-how.

In addition, ThingSpeak offers many different interfaces. For example, the measurement data can be imported and exported in various formats. This article deals with the display of measurement data.

Various graphs can be selected to display the measurement data stored at ThingSpeak. It’s easy to prepare the data by clicking together. For example, the various sensor data, such as temperature and weight, can be superimposed in a graph. This can then provide information on whether the bees have left the beehive less during the day in cold weather than in warm weather. There are unlimited scenarios that could be evaluated.

I find the following observation worth mentioning: Our HoneyPi measuring system can be connected to unlimited DS18b20 temperature sensors. If you place a temperature sensor in each honeycomb lane in winter, you can trace the movement of the winter grape to the fodder supply.

ThingSpeak in standard view.

And that brings us to the next point. Another great feature is the connection to Matlab. Matlab is a scientific mathematics and statistics program with which evaluations and graphs can be created. So if you want to make scientific evaluations here – there are no limits with ThingSpeak and Matlab.

Verschiedene Sensoren übereinandergelegt.

ThingSpeak Channel von Sven (696772)

Verwandte Themen findest du in den Beiträgen Warum nutzen wir ThingSpeak?.
