Many beekeepers see the greatest challenge in the construction of the beehive’s weighing frame. As our picture gallery<\/a> shows, there are many racks suitable for reproduction. Modify eBay platform scale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As already mentioned in the article on load cells<\/a>, it is possible to remove suitable load cells from an existing personal scale. Such scales are often inexpensive compared to the pure component prices. This variant behaves quite similarly. However, in addition to the load cell, this platform scale also includes the base frame for the apiary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The controller (it even has a lead-gel battery built in, you can still use it if you want to work with solar) and also the rod can actually be removed. What is needed is the load cell around the frame. To disconnect the controller from the rest, simply disconnect the cable inside the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colours of the cables fit exactly to those in the description of the HX711<\/a>. The built-in load cell<\/a> outputs an analog signal that must be converted. The HX711 is used for this purpose. Now only the HX711 has to be connected to the Raspi. <\/p>\n\n\n
